At CANNA, we’re always inspired by cultivators who bring passion, innovation, and a plant-first mindset to their work. This month, we’re shining a light on West Coast Weedery, a unique farm on Galiano Island where sustainable practices, education, and organic cultivation come together, powered by BIOCANNA.

From Refrigeration to Regeneration
Founder Adam Clark has been growing on the property for more than five years, starting under his ACMPR license and later expanding into industrial hemp production for CBD flower. With a background in industrial refrigeration and dehumidification engineering, Adam transitioned from technical systems into a vision of “getting it back to nature.”

The farm reflects this philosophy: fruit trees, roses, grapes, figs, and flowers thrive alongside cannabis. Bees and pollinators are abundant, creating a biodiverse ecosystem that supports both cultivation and sustainability.
West Coast Weedery: A Public-Facing Evolution
The creation of West Coast Weedery marks the next chapter in the farm’s evolution. With a farm-gate retail store in development, the goal is to bring cannabis closer to the community. Visitors will soon be able to explore the property, learn about cultivation, and access products directly from the farm.
“It’s very rare people are actually able to come and physically play and see things,” Adam explains. “Adding West Coast Weedery allows us to show more of what we’re doing here, while building partnerships to bring products directly to market.”
The BIOCANNA Difference
Over the years, Adam experimented with super soils and a variety of nutrient regimens. But this year, the farm committed fully to BIOCANNA organic nutrients for their outdoor hemp crop and the results are striking.
- Healthier Vegetative Growth: “Far less yellow leaves. Everything’s healthier.”
- Strong, Resilient Plants: Despite windstorms, “nothing’s fallen over… we haven’t had to stake the plants this year. They seem to be very well rooted.”
- Seamless Transition: The farm has shifted from BIOCANNA Bio Vega in the vegetative stage to BIOCANNA Bio Flores in flower, while also incorporating additives; Bio RHIZOTONIC and Bio BOOST.
Just as importantly, Adam values the peace of mind BIOCANNA provides:
“Being able to run BIOCANNA has been awesome because I know that I’m not putting any garbage into the soil. It’s just gonna help everything out.”
Simple & Reliable Feeding
West Coast Weedery runs BIOCANNA feeds three to four days a week, flushing with water on the other days. With no buildup in lines and easy mixing using the CANNA Grow Guide, the farm has streamlined their entire nutrient approach.
“I don’t really have to think about mixing nutrients. The Grow Guide makes it that easy.”
Looking Ahead
West Coast Weedery isn’t just about cultivation — it’s about education. With support from their agronomy expert Av Singh, the farm plans to host teaching sessions and classes for the public, demonstrating sustainable practices and organic inputs in action.

For Adam, the partnership with CANNA has been crucial:
“CANNA’s a trusted partner. Just look at the plants. The products work, and the team is always there to help whenever we need it.”
🌿 West Coast Weedery x BIOCANNA represents the future of cultivation in Canada: community-focused, sustainable, and built on organic solutions that put plants and people first.
